When your living space doesn’t feel like home anymore, it may be time to change things up a bit. For some, they believe changing the colors of the walls will do the trick. However, this is just one part of the design equation and not even the easiest one to change at that.
The next time you want to revamp your home’s color scheme without resorting to painting, shift your attention to other equally important areas like the following:

1. Artwork – Putting up artwork like pictures and paintings is one of the easiest ways to add personality to a room. If you’re not inclined to the arts, no worries! One simple yet smart way to go about this is to match it with the season. With Spring around the corner, you’ll have a rainbow of vibrant colors to choose from!
Hang landscape paintings depicting natural sceneries or better yet, make it a fun family project and invite your children to paint their colorful imaginations down on the canvas and frame them after. Now that’s one way of transforming a home.

2. Linens – Sticking to a color scheme is as much about your preferences and personality as tying up different elements together. Think pillow cases, table cloths, and table napkins. These are often overlooked items partly because of size, but when styled right with your sofa, dinner table or other furniture, they can add a pop of color and make a pleasing difference.
3. Lighting – Your choice of lighting fixtures can change the appearance of your home’s color scheme. Yes, even natural light! This is why your home can look different depending on the time of day. For example, lampshades that have warm hues will cast a similar glow to the surroundings.
